I have 16 x 8 wheels on my ROC now, but am thinking about getting new wheels, as mine are 12 yrs old and showing their age. I was thinking about getting the 17 x 8 rims from Performance Wheel Outlet. They are just like the standard IROC rims, but an inch bigger. If I put lower profile tires on, it should be okay, right? Thanks

Yeah they'll work.

I'd go with a 235/45/17 or 245/45/17 on an 8" rim.

 

I have a set of 17x8.5 with 245 45 17
goodyears. The set came with the wheel spacers needed and a complete sete of lug nuts. Although, the lug nuts were very cheap and I didn't use them. The rims are a clean looking 5 spoke design and I think it makes the car look much more modern. There not cheap ($200 ea. at Tire Rack-ATP Brand) but I think they were worth it.

do you guys know if they make the chrome IROCs in any size wider than 8in. thats the only thing holding me back from getting them over something else like ZR-1s or 2000 vette 5 spokes.
