ATTN:Sub 2 second 0-60' cars....

What tires are you using?(on what kind launch)?I cant go under 2 seconds with my SZ50's.Im looking for a better drag tire and just a little less street tire than the SZ50's..

I'm getting high 1.9 60' times with 34k-mile BF Goodrich Comp T/A ZR's (255/50R16) that are getting bald but not down to the wear indicators. What really helped is the 2400 stall converter and 3.42 gears. Sometimes, a track isn't prepped right and nobody can hook up good, especially with street tires. I usually foot-brake the engine up to 1000-1200 rpm and let the converter do its job. If you want a better drag tire that can still be driven on the street, the BF Goodrich Drag Radials have an excellent reputation and I've seen cars pulling 1.7x 60-foot times and 12-second 1/4-mile runs on them.

I don't have a lot of track time, but on my 92Z with SZ50's, I had run 6-8 runs in the 1.91-1.93 range with my 350. Now with the 383, but still on the SZ50's I'm in the high 1.8's, but I haven't gotten the launch right with the new motor.

With my auto, I'm leaving the line at 2200-2400.

1.88 sec 60' with extremely mild 350 TPI (see below), Nitto drag radials, Vigilante converter, full Spohn suspension and one wheel drive (fried posi). I run the Nittos as my daily drivers rain or shine and love them. They wear pretty well on the street and hook real nice after a good burnout.

Check the sig. All I have for suspension mods are Spohn LCA, subframe connectors and Nitto's.
