IROC Wheels

I have a 1987 Z28 and would lie to put Iroc wheels on it. However I think I heard somewhere that there are different wheels depending on drums or disk or iron and aluminum or something. Please explain which will fit my car and how to make sure I buy the correct set.

Thanks for your help!

The only difference is the off-set front to rear. I'm pretty sure that the drum brake cars got a 1/4 in. spacer on the rear. Check out the thread further down for info on the spacers.
Hope this helps,

Can I get the spacers aftermarket or should I try to get GM spacers?

You should be able to get them at Pepboys or any other auto parts store.

Cars with Aluminum Drums don't need the spacer, iron drum cars do.

you have an 87 Z-28? an 87 Z would be an IROC. I have 1990 aluminum IROC wheels in almost perfect condition for sale with new 245R16 Nitto rubber mounted on them.

good luck

You don't 'need' the spacers. I would mount-up the wheels and see what it looks like. If you want the wheels to stick out further, get some spacers. I've got 87 Iroc wheels on my 82 w/iron drums and they look great. If I added spacers, it 'looks' like they would rub on the fender. Try it first.

They don't, that's the way they came from the factory. IRON drums had spacers, Aluminum's didn't.
