lower control arm research 1LE

Anybody have the ability and interest to research "1LE" lower control arms. I have 3 different part #'s for LCA's

as listed on this board 1LE Lower control arms part # 10164151

91 Camaro with QLC 16" rims: Part #12505473 and 12505472 for 1991 w/ option QLC but does not indicate it is 1LE!

My 1989 Formula WS6 left side is 14083561, the right side is 14083562.

So 3 different part #'s for LCA's but people say they are the same, or there is no 1LE arm. I'd like to get to the bottom of this.
thx

The same control arms are used up front on the 1LE cars as the other F-bodys with the QLC option of the particular year in question.

So then what is the difference between my 89 WS6 Lower Control arms, and the 91 Camaro, both QLC option?

and how does one change a password around here?

Dimensionally the arms the same as are the balljoints. I have a feeling that the difference is in the duromoter of the bushings only.

To change your password, go into "Preferences" above.

I have a hard time believing GM used higher durometer bushings for a QLC car. 4th gens only got higher durometer bushings on the 1LE cars. not just for 16" rims.

There must be something else different about the LCA.

The 1-LE cars got the same suspension parts (control arms, springs, sway bars etc) as the regular production cars, but they got the best of them: 36mm front bar, 24mm rear bar, stiffest of the available springs but different trim heights for Camaros and Trans-Ams due to different vehicle weights. The parts unique to the 1-LE cars were the shocks (89-90 only) and the bushings in the REAR control arms. The front control arm bushings in 1-LE cars were the same as the Z-28 Camaro or the WS-6 Trans am. The rear control arm bushings in 1-LE cars were unique to the 1-LE, they were made of higher durometer rubber.
