Steering Box Fittings Style?

Hey guys,

I have a 1986 IROC-Z and I just ordered a Tom Lee Performance Steering Box from SC&C (Mark, the owner, was very helpful and I learned alot from him. He seems like a good honest guy). He is going to send out the order today but he asked me what fitting I had on my car, the old style (double flare?) or the new style (o-rings)? If i don't get back to him he'll just put the order out to be with the new style (o-ring) fittings. So I am just not sure which style fittings my 86 IROC has... He said that in 85 they used the old style but in 86 they started using the new style... Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks!

What makes this box so special?

*edit* Holy Crap. It had better be special for $415

Actually I bought the 670 version... Which is 550$. It is 6lbs lighter, has rack and pinion feel, has all new parts, new correct internal stops, custom built, smaller than the 800 box and does have not have the flaws of the iroc boxes, (you'd have to call them for a full detailed summary of why it's so much better). It should last up to a good 200,000 miles apparently. After I install this, EVERYTHING in my steering system will have been replaced/upgraded.

So, after installing this, the stock IROC box I had, which was working pretty well already, will go up for sale! I'll let you guys know the difference in handling once installed.
