SZ50 SIDEWALL BLOWOUT

Just had a blow out of the right rear sidewall during an approximately 30mph
right hand turn. Tires are SZ50s 255/50/16 on 92 Z-28.

Anybody have any idea as to cause as there is no apparent external trauma to the sidewall and the load was small. Cross section approximates a loaf of bread in appearance with the flat towards the inside and 3" across and crown towards the tread about 3.5" across. Any ideas?

Now to ordering new tires, any suggestions?

My brother had a Goodyear F-1 Steel sidewall just blow out on him 2 weeks ago.
He was just sitting at a stop light and when he started to go, it blew.
No sign of anything rubbing the tire, looks like it just blew out. 275/40/17
