How can you tell its time for new springs?

How can you tell its time for new springs?

well how can you tell and what does it usualy cost for a new set of stock hight front and rear

Engine: 588 Alcohol BBC
Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
Call any alignment shop and ask them for the ride height specs for the car. They should be able to give you a measurement and location to measure from. Lets say it's supposed to be 28" from the bottom lip of the wheel well to the ground. If it's 27" then the springs have sagged. There's usually a +/- tolerance.

Have you replaced them lately?

Then you need them. You'd be surprised how much of an improvement they make, especially since that's a great time to renew all the other wear parts in the suspension like shocks & struts, ball joints, etc.
