Please Help !!!!! Brake problems on newly purchased 3rd gen
I noticed tonight that the brake pedal feels kinda spongy and I also noticed that the rear right wheel has what looks like brake fluid running down the back of the rim and tire. The car has been sitting for about a week with the emergency set. Will this cause the fluid to build up pressure and leak or do I have a leak at the bleeder nipple. I will try to get under the car tomorrow.
PS I just bought the car last week. And need to start driving it tommorow. Drum brakes on back

Your car probably needs for the brakes to be bled, meaning squeezing the air out of the whole system. Your rear leaker is probably a leaking wheel cylinder, in other words, take her in to Midas or something unless you know what you are doing! haha good luck and be careful driving that car!
Hey. First off, examine your brake pads and shoes.
For the front, check how close the "wear indicator" is to the rotor. This little hook shaped object that will rub against the rotor when the pads need to be replaced.
At the rear, some shoes were assembled by using rivets. Check the depth of the rivet holes. If the brake material is close to touching the rivet, it is time to change them.
The leak must be the wheel cylinder.
Bleeding the system is a good idea.
Either take it some place to do this or spend the time yourself with a good Haynes manual. It'll tell you what to look for and how to do everything stated above.
