Worried about bottoming out
Hey everyone!
I'm just about ready to get started on rebuilding the entire suspension on my '92 RS. It's a 305 car, soon to be 355, so I figured it would be a good time to replace my 18-year-old suspension. I am buying the front end rebuild kit off eBay...

And then I am getting new shocks and springs. Here's my dilema, there are several springs that I can buy and I want to lower the car. There is the EiBach 1" drop kit, and there is a Dropzone kit (much less expensive) that lowers the car 1.75". I do realize that you get what you pay for, and I don't want to skimp too much on suspension parts, but I am not really going for a "performance" suspension, just something that replaces old parts, OEM or close to OEM is fine with me.
I'm worried that 1" is not going to be enough of a drop, I don't want a low rider Camaro by any means, but I think the car would look awesome sitting much lower to the ground. But then again, it scrapes over everything as it sits lol. Coming out of driveways, I'd have to be on a huge angle to not scrape the chin lol. Am I going to have any major problems with a 1.75" drop? I am worried about bottoming the car out all the time. I do drive it pretty hard...
Here are my options so far...

The first link of the steering "OE Brand" parts I would pass on. I would go with NAPA, or Moog, to ensure you are getting quality components. You wont get that Ebay lowball price, but you will get the safety of a quality rebuild with the ones mentioned. There is info on pricing and such in the stickies thread "front end rebuild spreadsheet". Just my
