No.
The indirect part is the brake line fittings. In 82-83, GM used non-metric (SAE) fittings for the brake lines. Starting in '84 and continuing until now, GM went to metric fittings.
The work-around? Use your '82 brake stuff- hoses, lines, and wheel cylinders (for drums) or calipers (for discs). If you're changing rear brake systems (drums for discs), you'll need to find the right adapters. Either that, or you could buy a flaring tool and make a custom piece of brake line using a mixed set of fittings (some from the 82 lines, some from the '87 lines).
But as regards bolting the rear end in, Omar's right.
Oh- and please buy a new body-to-axle rear brake hose if you haven't replaced it recently. The hoses deteriorate internally (and externally, too) with age.
