Drum Brake Cylinder Leaking

This weekend I replaced my rear brake shoes and I found that the passenger brake cylinder had some fluid around the piston. I had my bro step on the pedal for me and fluid escapes from the cylinder through the seal that is next to the piston.

Are these seals hard to replace? Are they expensive?

Any help is appreciated,

Jason

Very easy to replace and they cost about 15 bucks.

Evil et. al., can you quickly provide the steps to replacing the seals or the entire cylinder as a whole?

to change out the cylinder you have to undo the springs on the shoes to allow acces for the cylinder to come out. just unhook the brake line and a couple of bolts. to replace the seals do the same thing and take it apart, big rubber dust seal ,piston, v seal, and spring in the middle. use a brake cylinder hone and clean up the bore and reassemble it with new parts.
