Front end rebuild HELP

I am putting a PST front end kit on my Firebird tomorrow and I have a few questions. First, I got a bag of bushings that have a tapered end ond a bag that arent tapered. I guess the tapered ones are the seals that go on the rod ends and what not right. And second the nut that goes on the stabilizer link is very tight, in fact it will only go down about 2or3 threads by hand. Is it like that sio it doesnt come loose? Thanks for this and any other help you can give me about this job.

The ones that fit on the rod ends should look like cups, the endlink ones should look solid.

What does the nut look like? If its a castle nut, it should screw on easy and use a cotter pin to hold it in place. If it looks like a regular nut with a chamfered top, its a crimp nut and it's tightness holds it in place. If the top has a piece of colored plastic in it, its a nyloc nut and does the same thing as the crimp nut. If its one of the last two, once it gets started by hand, you will need a wrench to tighten it farther.

I think I have two sets of bushings and washers for the stabilizer links. But I only have one set of sleeves. The sleeves came in a bag with the tappered bushings. Both sets of bushings are black. One is taller then the other. The taller ones(bushings) tapper off. Please tell me what the difference is. Do I need to take the boots for the ball joints to the shop thats going to press them in?

Oh, i sounds like you got 2 sets of endlink bushings (2 packs of 8 bushings). One will be poly, the other is rubber and should be ignored.
