Installed Strut Tower Brace :D
Installed Strut Tower Brace :D
I just installed the Edelbrock STB that I got in today, and boy it does make a difference. Took her for a hard test drive and she felt really tight and controlled up front. Can't wait to see how she feels when I get the SFC's in.
I know that feeling! I was really impressed with the change in handling when I installed my BMR STB. I have Spohn SFCs laying on my living room floor that will be installed soon.
Can't hardly wait!

Buck Mustard,
Is there any way you could post a picture of the Spohn SFC package. The picture on his site is horrible. I'm doing some "comparison" shopping comparing his against the $80 ones from Alston. Any help would be greately appreciated!!

Not really. I don't mean to be an a$$, but I don't have a digital camera nor do I have any other film that will be shot up anytime soon.
I'll ask a couple friends if they have digital cameras I can borrow.
Try asking Steve Spohn for some different shots of his. He seems like a pretty helpful guy. I have to agree with Steve's comments that, "you get what you pay for".
Does that mean the $80 SFCs won't do the job? No. They should work - I think quite a few guys on this board are running them. If it is a money issue, the Spohn SFCs cost over twice as much.

I agree, you do get what you pay for. But, Spohn says his are nothing like the Alston SFC. They both run from the rear of the front wheel well to the front of the LCA. Do they not? Spohns two extra pieces that weld up to the cross member. That is the only difference I see. I don't plan on doing wheel stands any time soon so I really can't see the added benefit; not doubting it is there though.

I had Alstons but never installed them. They are alot different from Spohns design. His design is more like SSM's SFCs.

Justin,
Thats a clean **** 86! Where are the differences? I don't doubt that they exist, I just want to know where they are because from pictures they look pretty close in design.
Oh, where did you get that STB? Looks innexpensive.
Its all about the dollar!
