For performance; to lower or not to lower?

I going to be doing my suspension soon and am still wondering if lowering would be the best thing. I would like a lower stance for the visual aspect or the car but the bottom line in performance. Will lowering the car give me better all around performance, street, strip, and road races?

Jamex
eibach
edelbrock
intrax

I would not want to lower it more than an inch, so from the above brands which one do you suggest would be the best for what i'm looking for if lowering the car is the way to go. I'll probably be running bilstien shocks and struts with poly bushings.

thank you

Lowering the car will actually help the vehicle corner better because of the lower center of gravity. Also,if you get lower springs with stiffer spring rates(which is how most of them will be),the car will not lean as bad during hard cornering. And I believe the Eibach pro-kit series only drop our cars 1"-1 1/2".

383 soon to come.

Don't get the intrax then if you only want an inch, they advertise a two inch drop.

Lowering will be great for looks and the twistys but not so good straight line. The rear lower control arm geometery will be altered resulting in increased wheel hop.
Ask me how I know!!!
This can be compensated for by relocating the LCA's with a lowering bracket welded to the rear axle mount.

IVE GOT THE EDELBROCK SPRINGS IN ADN IT LOWERED MY CAR BY ABOUT 1 INCH. i HAVE NOTCIED MUCH BETTER HANDLING AND CORNING ABLITY BUT ON THE NEGITIVE I HAVE NOTICED MORE WHEEL HOP AS WELL. i RECOMMNED ONCE YOU INSTALL THE SRPINGS GET BOXED LCA'S FORM EITHE SLP OR HOTCHIS AND THAT WILL FIX THE WHEEL HOP.
