Master Cylinder questions

I need to replace the master cylinder in my 82 Z28 with four wheel disk and was wondering which one is best. Meaning if maybe one from later years might give more stopping power. How difficult of an install any tips. Thanks.

Later model ones (I think starting in '85) are made from aluminum, if that matters to you. [edit] They're still the same internally, so you wouldn't see any performance difference between aluminum vs cast-iron.
