2 Piston Calipers on an 84?

I own an 84 TA 4bbl HO. I was thinking of doing a break upgrade. I was wondering if it was possible to install 2 piston calipers on my front disks? If so, where can I get them, and what all do I need? Thanks for any replies.

Yes you can, this is the famous "1LE" converstion. A number of members here have done the swap, I'm currently in the middle of doing mine. Search the board for more information, or try these to start:

I hope so, I'm doing it inside my 15" z28 rims. ANDYZ28 has completed the swap inside a set of 15" RS rims, so I'm confident its possible.

I have a set of stock GM '89RS rims on my 1LE mod '82 Z28. They clear very nicely.
Thanx,ANDYZ28

I just put new rotors (11in) on less than a year ago... do I really have to replace them too (to 12's)?

Your rotors should be closer to 10 1/2", but yes, you'll have to replace them.

Well, as long as the new rotors fit... I guess I got no choice. Thanks for all the info.
