finally put my new KYB's in

they had been sitting in my house for about two months now and I finally got around to putting them in. GR-2 in the front and Gas-a-just in the rear. My ride is alot better now and I don't bottom out anymore. But I still have a couple questions. I didn't move my strut position thing (the plate where the strut comes up through and is held to the car with three bolts) , so do I still have to get a front end alignment? My chiltons manual said that I had to remove my brake caliper to change my struts, but I didn't, did I do something wrong? Should I check them again in a week or so and make sure all the bolts are tight and retorque them? sorry about all the questions.

I've never had any alignment done, not felt any difference in alignment after replacing struts. The first time I had trouble loosening the bolts at the bottom, so I took it into a shop and they didn't try selling me an alignment job either.

I would re-check the alignment. The camber could change a couple of degrees. I know it does not sound like much. There is play in the spidle attachment to the strut.

Hey guys,

I'm about to drop my '91 Formula 1.25" with Eibach Pro springs. I'm going with the full KYB setup too with GR-2 front struts and Gas- a-just for rear.

Does anyone else have the same setup? If so, how does it ride? Handle?

I changed all struts and shocks to KYB and put on Spohn's LCA's...and wow!, what a difference. NO MORE WHEELHOP! none!, zip! and when I turn the car feels different and a lot tighter out back.

last summer i installed edelbrock springs and installed KYB- gr2 struts and shock all in the same weekend. if your careful you dont need an allignment but do driving tests with it to utimitly detremine. as far as handling goes it was a 200% deference in the handling. much better down the highways and even the crappy city streets here. also better courning . there worth it
