changing drum brakes to disk...

changing drum brakes to disk...

can i change my rear drum brakes into disk brakes? and if i can what do i have to do to change them?thanks.

You need to get a new rear end the axle tube ends are different. I supose you could weld new ends on your old rear end.

When I did my 9" swap I went with a set of aftermarket units from a company called TSM. The kit uses an 11" rotor. I'm pretty sure they make a kit for drum braked thirdgen rears. They will sell just the brackets if you want or a whole kit. Calipers with emergency brake provisions are available. Total cost for the kit I have was less than $300.
