Disk brake retro's
I have an 85 Z28 with a 7.5 10 bolt ring gear. It has drum brakes. I have the rotors, plates, and calipers from a 7.5 10 bolt disk rear. I know I will have to modify my mounting flange for the bolt pattern and would like to find out if I will have any other problems with it as well. I have extensive tools and can get just about anything done with help from a machinist. Help would be appreciated thank you, Mike

When I did my 9" swap I went with a set of aftermarket units from a company called TSM. The kit uses an 11" rotor. I'm pretty sure they make a kit for drum braked thirdgen rears. They will sell just the brackets if you want or a whole kit. Calipers with emergency brake provisions are available. Total cost for the kit I have was less than $300.
