brake hoses (special order only?)
I just installed my new/used 84 z28 rear disc 10 bolt. I rebuild the calipers, installed my axles(machined them to fit) posi and 3.73 gears now that it is all bolted up I seem to have a problem finding a auto store that carries the caliper hose in stock. (wtf) Every thing was going great till this and why is there one on the right but, not the left. the only other hose back there is the center one.

I picked up my rear right disc-brake hose from http://www.carparts.com . It was a Raybestos unit; the Bendix's were back-ordered. (I did the '84 3.73/posi/disc swap last year.) The reason you keep finding the center hose is because it works for both drum & disc rears. There's only one caliper hose because the bend on the other side is too tight to take a hose.
Have you gone to a "real" auto parts store? (Not pep boys or Autozone or etc.) Usually they can order you a part in a day, since they usually deal with mechanics and not do-it-yourselfers (who usually want car wax!). Heck, one store I go to can get me the part the same day if I order it before 10:00am!
