Did 91 GTA's come with rear DRUM brakes?

I saw a 91 GTA at the dealer today with only 68,000 miles and in great shape for $6,500. But the wierd thing that caught my eye was the fact that it had rear drum brakes. That doesn't seem right does it?

There was some kind of problem with the disc brake manufacturing in 1991, so GM put drum brakes on the cars instead.

Wow, so this is fairly common on 91's? I thought maybe the previous owner busted his rear and swapped.
