95 Front Suspension into 83 Trans Am
I am wondering if the whole front suspension (rotors, calipers, struts, rack and pinion, control arms and sway bar) out of an 95 Camaro which will fit the 93 to 97 Camaros, Firebirds, and Trans AMs will fit into a 83 Trans am that i have and i am rebuilding or if they are two different suspension setups and that it wont work at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Im pretty sure it wont fit. Besides the 4th gen front suspension isnt as good a design as the 3rd gen. We use struts up front, they use shocks. There are some other diffences too, but we have a better front end setup.

Actually, as far as suspension geometry goes, the 4th gen SLA front suspension is a better design over ours. It offers equal-to-better performance with better ride characteristics. Unfortunately you cannot graft one onto our platform UNLESS spending mega-bucks utilizing a custom frame. Since the front track width would be wider you would have to widen the car by flaring the fenders & quarterpanels or using a wide-body kit (if you could find one anymore).
