hey guys,
i have a set of rear bilstein shocks
when installed and the car is back to ride height.
how do you confirm you tighten the top bolt enough?
if the nut is flush with the sheet metal?
i was warned not to tighten to the point it might go past the threads of something.
can someone just tell me how its done when tightening the upper bolt?

I used my torque wrench and tightened it to the spec listed in the shop manual for my 92. I believe it did bottom it out on the shaft, but it was last winter when I replaced my shocks so I could be wrong.

I just tightened the until they were real snug. I've never had the nut on the top back off of any car I had.

yup you'll see it and you dont want to compress the bushing too much
