What do you guys think of Drag Shocks???

I don't want to go compareing two different cars but my friend just put some front Drag shocks on his 95 mustang and it made a fairly big improvement in launching and mostly with switching gears{ they would scratch a lot before}

anyone using them on the front on a third gen. ??

results ??

also how much will this kill my susp. as far as the handling ??

thanks for any info

Depends on the shocks. Most "drag" shocks are not recommended for street use. If the car is strictly race only, get a set of Koni SPA1 shocks. Next step down from them is some Lakewood 90/10 front struts. If you drive on the street, get some 70/30's.

HMMM

well I DO NOT want to screw my street susp. set up too much

what would you recomend that I do ??

Just leave it or go with a slightly different ratio?

I do want to get better traction when I go to the street races so this is not at the track but more on the street.....but dragging never the less

basically I'm trying to find out if it's worth it or not..
thanks for any help

I raced my car for 2 years with factory shocks. I only installed the SPA1's after I broke my new engine so I haven't been able to test them yet.

If you intend to use the car on the street then just get some 70/30 Lakewood struts.

Any speed shop or Jegs, Summit. They all carry them. Lakewood part number 40500. They are about $92 each. My SPA1 struts are $190 each.
