OK to cut coils on Eibachs?

I've got the Eibach pro-kit installed on my GTA and the front still has a good 3" gap between tire to wheel-well. It hasn't been driven yet so I assume it will settle maybe an inch at the most, but there's still gonna be a healthy gap there.

Can I cut coils on my Eibach or is it going to screw up the geometry of the spring?

I don't know, but I'm in the same boat myself. I was pretty disappointed with the results. Of course, now that I have a deeper oil/tranny pan I may have to rethink this...

It's actually better to cut aftermarket springs than stock ones because they have the extra spring rate to keep the car from bottoming out! i've done it to my car with excellent results. On my sportlines, half coil up front was an inch and half in the back meant 1 1/2 inch. use a rotory saw cut them. Just make sure u got a good set a shocks and u'll be ready! good luck.. payce!
