Don't think your springs sag with age?
I wanted to lower my 1991 V6 Camaro a little, so I thought I would replace the springs when I overhauled the suspension.
It has LCAs and an adjustable Panhard Bar from Hot Part (very happy with these!), urathane bushings all round from Energy Suspension, KYB shocks and struts, Wonderbar and SFCs from Top Down Solutions (LOVE the Wonderbar, but the SFCs seem to hang a little low...), so instead of trying to make Eibachs work on the V6 or buy some of the others on the market, I decided to get new Moog springs and cut them.
I was not going to drop it to a ridiculous level, just about an inch, so I thought this would be the saner way to go. Worst case, I am out about $60 for each set of springs, right? I can always put the originals back, I thought...
Well, we pulled the 20 year old originals and sitting them on the bench next to the new ones, we could see they were almost 2 inches shorter! I am pretty sure they had not been cut previously, because there was absolutely NO sign of any other mods to the car and I have owned it for 5 years, so I am sure they are stock.
We cut one coil off the front and a 1/2 off the back to start with and had to go back and take another 1/2 off the back to stop it looking like a 1970's Pro Stocker! I would not have minded that stance too much if it was a 1970-71 model with big n' littles, but the 3rd gens do not look good that way.
In a nutshell, after cutting an entire coil off each corner and replacing the spring isolators with heater hose(the front ones were trashed and the rear were missing ENTIRELY!) my car now sits about where it did to start with!!
I think I will leave it this way for a while, since it has a nice stance to it, but the good part is, it rides like a new car! Cutting the coils did not effect the ride at all- in fact, it seems tighter, more solid and more responsive than before... just thought you would enjoy reading about my experience.

the moog springs tend to be a bit taller than stock anyway.

And all springs will settle a bit - so leave it as is for 30 days and see where it ends up.

If the springs are seated properly and they are doing their job, they shouldn't 'settle', should they? Perhaps they may cut into the isolators a little, but if they 'settle' they have collapsed and that is not a good thing!

they prolly were lowering springs you took off. 91 you have had it for 5 years so that makes 04/05. In 13 years before you its common to lower cars so maybe someone did.
