shortening right SFC aprox. 12" to clear exaust, would this work??
I have headmen headers with the y-pipe that curls around where the frame connector is supposed to go,it is impossible to move the exaust with out totally screwing it up and it won't share it's space with the hotchkis SFC. the left SFC will weld in,no problem, but the right side SFC will have to shortened and welded up to the next best place under the floor. this obviously won't be as good as having a properly installed SFC,but it should make a significant difference right? is ther another place, further back from the front, that will support the stress from a SFC?? I've heard of other header-SFC combos that work..but my exaust is already installed and I'm happy with it as it is,I also have the hotchkis SFCs already and would rather keep them if I can. thanks, I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
