Steering Column Loose Connection
Hey I just installed ebay steering column which is suppose to be a GM original piece. i am having fitment issues where it bolts to the one that comes out of the firewall. I orginally torqued the bolt to the factory specification and there was a bunch of play side to side. So I torqued it down more and still nothing. The steering wheel has about a half inch of play due to this connection. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue. Thanks

The end of your steering column (where the bolt goes through) is necked down isn't it? Going from memory, I think they are.
The "replacement" part may be designed for a column with a non-tapered steering shaft. Not sure you got the correct part.
