what all is involved in swapping in a new rear end??

i am about to install a new rear end in my 89 formula. i am swapping out the whole axle and want to know if the rear discs will be any problem to adapt.

i'm not sure but i believe the disk and drum use differant bolt patterns.

It manages to be the same bolt-pattern for the wheels, but I heard the axleshaft's flange is thicker on the disc-brake axle. I went from drums to discs, and didn't need any wheel spacers, so I guess it's cool.

JPTaylor2, the work you'll do depends on the year of the axle you're putting in. Swapping the axle itself is cake; about an hour's job, but if you need to mess with master cylinders and brake-fitting-adapters and different brake lines- ugh. So, what year's the new rear?
