Uh, is this supposed to be bent??

I was putting on an adjustable panhard rod to realign the rearend after lowering it, and I noticed that the factory panhard rod is all bent-looking. Is it supposed to be that way? If not, how could it have gotten bent?

Probably from some sort of collision, such as sliding sideways into a curb.

Yup, classic curb damage. Your car will drive ALOT better with that repaired.

Ah yes, I believe I learned a valuable lesson that day: when driving a rwd car in the pouring rain, don't put the pedal to the floor while turning a corner. And I've been driving the car around with a bent panhard rod for almost 4 years now. Actually with the new Spohn panhard it rides worse (squeak, squeak).

Lube up those bushings with bushing grease available from Energy Suspension. No more squeaks.

Thats not the track bar, its the track bar brace and yes its supposed to be bent. The track bar has 1/4" rounds at the ends of the U for rigidity.
