Springs / Options / Constant / Variable / CC?
Ok... so I got some components to upgrade and I want to get new springs...
I want stock height...
I see some rear cargo coil springs that are variable rate / progressive, as opposed to the stock constant rate... I may have a bit of stereo equipment in the trunk, but not tons... so I'm leaning towards the CC variable rate ones...
But I can't seem to find any front variable / progressive springs...
I see some "Heavy Duty" but I see they are constant rate...
I think I want to go with the rear CC springs, and would prefer variable rate for the front... I think... would mixing variable rate in rear and constant in front be bad?
Thoughts or ideas from someone who knows more than me, please....
Thanks
Rafael

First off, what is CC? is that a company that makes springs? Never heard of them.
You want DEFINATELY linear rate springs up front. I personally like progressive rate springs for the rear, but since you stated you have heavy stereo equipment in the rear of that car then progressive is definately NOT going to work for you.

CC is for Cargo Coil they are designed for a heavier than normal load in the back, but they are progressive, not constant....

don't get the cargo springs. It'll probably make the back of the car really stiff. Are you wanting to set the car up for handling or street/strip or just a cruiser? If you're wanting something performance oriented, there's (somewhat) local places you can get aftermarket springs. I'm in Brandon and may be able to offer a little help, maybe a little advice, atleast.
