fan switch

fan switch

the ones i get at the auto parts stores keep burning up or breaking inside.... where can i get a good fan switch that will hold up to the amps... ive tried up to 30 amps and it lasted only a few days help!..........john

I have to guess that you are not using a relay in your fan switch setup. Generally, you can use the factory fan relay and just use the added switch to provide an additional trigger to switch on the relay. My factory relay is mounted on the drivers side of the engine side of the firewall. From there I ran a wire into the car, connected it to a switch, and then connected the switch to ground. The switch is a real cheapo one and works fine. Flip the switch - - fan comes on. More detailed instructions are available by doing a search on this forum.
