Best Of Everything...
ok guys, here is where all you smart people come in. i got my edlebrock springs (eibach spell?) and now im going to do everything. i got plans for an engine that will have 500hp and i need the suspension to be able to handle the power, keep me on the road and give me the best ride possible. please reply with your recomendations on the BEST of all suspension upgrades, thanks alot.
First off get some subframe connectors those will help keep the car from twisting. Get some control arms. Get a panhard bar. and get a torque arm to get the car to launch. try spoon products there are alot of guys that will reccomend his parts without hesitation, but they are expencive.
If you really want the best then Kenny Brown is the only choice, period! People can say what they want but Spohn products are not designed, or engineered, they are built. He takes a stock piece and builds a stronger replica, thats it. The KB pieces are engineered to work and are usually lighter and stronger than the parts they replace, unlike the Spohn parts. Don't get me wrong, Spohn does build strong parts and has had good luck with them. It's just the KB designs are far superior in almost every way. The reason Spohn has such a great following is because he sponsors this board, if KB sponsored this board also then they'd have a great following too.

do you have to ship your stock suspension pieces away to KB? and how much does KB cost more/less than spohn parts. how about the best shocks/struts. do you think racing shocks and adjustable struts in the front?

No, you don't have to send them your stock parts, everything they build is a brand new piece. Shocks and struts are something I haven't really got into so I'm hesitant to give suggestions. There are others on this board more qualified than me that can help you choose them.

From everything that I've read and heard, Bilstein makes the best shocks, Energy Suspension makes the best busings, and Eibach makes the best springs probably. As far as for LCAs, panhard bar, torque arm and SFCs it might be a toss up. I've heard awesome things about Spohn and the same about Kenny Brown. Which one is the superior product? Well, I doubt you will get anything but a debate about that. That's something you will have to decide for yourself.

that's the best hands down. I've got Eibach's and Tokico Illumina 5-ways. And all spohn stuff with a www.wolferacecraft.com 8 point cage.
I'm running about 500 hp 383 mini-ram etc. Spohn is by far one of the best. Other than that, i'd say www.lgmotorsports.com all products track proven and Lou started out in thirdgens. World champion titles.

How exactly do you "engineer" a control arm or panhard rod? The only relevant specification in those pieces are eye-to-eye distance, and since they're both (KB and Spohn) adjustable, that's moot point.
The rest is about material and appearance.
I can perhaps see "engineering" a torque arm, since there's a little more involved. Same for the subframe connectors.
I'd just like to see some specific examples of why you think one superior over the other.
