Do Auto trans cars have different spring rates than manuals? car sitting high in frt

My car was lowered. After that I converted to a T5 From the 700r4. I decided the lowered springs were too harsh for the street. So I put the stock ones back in.

Now the stupid car sits and inch higher in the front than it does in the back. Is this because of less weight of the manual trans? The a arms look fine and everything went together right as there is really only one way to put the springs in.

Now if i want to correct this, do i need to get a set of stock springs from an iroc manual car? ugh, what a pain.

Thanks

there isnt that much of a difference in weight between teh two trans setups, not enough to affect the height that much.

did you index the front springs when you installed them? there are 2 holes in the spring pocket in the a-arms, in the back, the end of the springs needs to be between the two holes, same on both sides.

have you driven the car since?

yea its been about a 1000 miles. I think it may be the sway bar, I tightened it up before i set the car on the ground.

My car is just a z28 tho, do the irocs sit lower? mine was an original tpi car just not an iroc.

I had done the same thing when I installed my sway bar, but it didn't take 1000 miles for the front of the car to return to normal ride height. I also think you should check to see if your front springs are indexed correctly.
