Today during a stop and go drive on I-5 (rush hour traffic) I noticed a single thump whenever I applied the brakes. Thump noise can be felt from the front drivers side floorboard. The thump noise can be felt more at lower speeds, say less than 5 miles.

 

The same thing is happening to my car. I had it checked out and found it was the rubber bushing on the front of my torque arm. They said it will be a pain in the rear to fix it but you can get it done at a shop for about $250 bucks or so. Good luck.

I felt a similer bump except it was during acceleration. It turned out to be the tranny mount bolts had come loose. You may want to check those.

Thanks for the reply. As far as the "thump" goes it only does it once everytime I applied the brakes. I will check both the tranny mount bolts and torque arm bushing.
