I can't get my rear rotors off!!!!!! Help!!!!!!

I have an '89 GTA with a 9 bolt and factory discs. I can't get the rotors off the back. The caliper is off. I have tried heat, penetrating oil, and a little persuasion using a mallet. I am not sure if I will damage the axle by wailing on the rotor. These rotors have been on here for a while

I had the same problem last week. I used a hammer and a 2x4. The wood won't hurt the rotor and you can pretty much beat the hell out of it. It should come off eventually... nothing a little "mechanical agitation" can't fix. I'd stay away from the heat though. Good luck

I had the same problem with a used rear end I bought. I drilled several (as in many) very small holes at the intersection of the rotor and axle. Just keep drilling holes, penetrating oil, tapping with a rubber mallet, drilling holes... until it comes off. This method assumes you will be trashing the rotor. Good luck, Lon.
