4th gen 1le Rear springs?

I want to put in 4th gen 1LE rear springs. I have two GM part numbers. P/N 22132562 for 1993-1997 and P/N 22132889 for 1998 and 1999. What is the difference? The rates are the same.

why would you want 4th gen 1LE rear springs anyway? they are probably tooooooo stiff for any application. soft rear springs are the way to go for road racing or auto-x-ing.

You can get much better springs in the aftermarket for a whole lot less money than anything that comes from the factory.

The difference between those 2 spring part numbers could be anything from the color they're painted, to the installed height, to the number of turns of what size wire they're wound out of. That's one of the problems of dealing with factory springs; there are absolutely no specs available on them like there are in the aftermarket. You can even choose ones optimized for your intended use, according to their specs, which you can actually look up.
