Is this Bad?
I replaced my Strut Mounts today. This is what was on the car. Aren't they supposed to have Bearings?

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: Is this Bad?
That IS a bearing...
It's a "sealed" one. The small ring in the very center is the inner race, then there's the rubber seal, then the outer race is almost as big as the hole in the sheet-metal mount.

Well, I don't see it.......... If what you say is true, it doesn't move AT ALL. If you look at the pictures, you'll see that the strut was dragging across the surface of the mount. it wasn't rolling smoothly.

It doesn't spin. Both Sides are frozen. I've replaced them though. The new Mounts have smaller cap holes though. I'll need to find a set of plastic caps that fit.
