Changing from drum to disk

I blew out my 3.08 rear in my 88 Iroc and im switching it with a 3.54 with disk brakes. I was wondering how hard it is to convert and what major parts will I have to change.

Yo, pimp daddy. Do a search on swapping or changing rears and you should get all the info you need. What is the "new" rear out of?

Its easy as hell. I did a conversion in my car. All you do is change the rear end. Then you need parts made for a rear disk Camaro. Things such as master cylinder, ebrake cables. And a part you definatly NEED! Not want...NEED!! is a adjustable proportioning valve. So you can make your back brakes atcually work. Before I put a wilwood proportioning valve. My back brakes didnt work for ****. (due to the fact taht drums need less pressure to engage) After I put the proportioning valve my rear brakes became strong. ANd now I can stop alot faster. Or if you dont want that you can put a proportioning valve off a Camaro with rear disks. But I would suggest the adjustible one. Cause you could probably get that for way cheaper than the stock one. Especially since for the stock one you HAVE to get it from the dealer if you want a new one. Because its illegal for shops to sell it. Its againts federal laws. Hope I was of help.

Hey Rev, did you just bypass the rear line on the stock one or did you take the whole thing out?

Revlimit, so did you remove the stock prop valve or use it in conjunction with the Wilwood one? Thanks..

Yeah, did you bypass/eliminate the stock combination valve or use the adjustable valve in conjunction with the stock combination valve!
