Not low enough.
I looked for a similar post but found nothing. I recently put 1.5" drop springs on the front of my TA. I found after they were installed that the car was only about 0.50 inches lower. The guy at the shop said it's because my stock springs were so old that they had sunk down and it didn't look any lower. But I think that is BS because my cousin put 1.5's on his camaro and he has no fender gap. We both have 16" rims and the same tires, and I have about an inch and a half fender gap. What's up with mine? I also have rubber busings on top of my springs that are about an inch thick. Do you think if I removed them it would make a difference? Will no bushings be bad?
Different spring manufacturers will have different heights. If you remove the rubbers then you will get alot of road noise and the springs may move around making clanging noises. Find out what springs your buddy has, get a set, and sell yours.

Some springs will compress and settle lower with time

I went through your same delema man. What kinda springs did you install?
I put sportlines in my car and it dropped a bit. The front more than the back definatly. I wasnt satisfied so I went ahead and pulled the rubber bushings out. Guess what, there was no noticable increase in road noise at all. And on top of that, the front came down another 1/4 inch and the back 1/2 inch!
But, before you pull your bushings out, check to make sure the springs were installed right. The end of the coil on the fronts should be on the inside of the A-arm, closest to the motor. See what i'm saying?

Or just do what i did and install 2" drop spindles, then 1.75" springs.. give it a nice slammed look.. and i can still make it over speed bumps. well.. MOST speed bumps

I was thinking about the drop spindles, where did you get yours and how much? They don't look like they'd be to hard to install, but that's just an opinion. How long did it take you to put yours in? I think I might take out the rubber bushings first. If the spindles aren't to much hassle I might go with them too. Thanx.

I ended up removing the rubber isolators and chopping 3/4 coil off my Eibach springs.
After I had it low enough, I needed caster/camber adjusters to keep it from going through front tires so fast.Drop spindles seem like a good alternative. If I had to do it again,I may have done it differently.
