ok,I amnotsure what happened but i tried to avoid dear and ended up hitting a huge rock that ws half burred int eh ground and taking out a mailbox. Now i think i pushed the drivesside wheel back into the the fenter ****ed up the drives side of the nose and 1/4 panel. I took a quick look at it this morning and the strut towers are inline(or so they seem) and so es everything eles in the engine compartment. I think i just fed upt he lower control arm. Now what would be involved in fixing this. I will repost more info buy 5 tonight.

You could've also bent the spindle (aka "steering knuckle") on that side, along with some of the steering parts (center link). I did that when I hit a curb. I used a steering knuckle out of my old parts car ('84 Firebird). You can see the spindle if you take the wheel & brake rotor off. It holds the rotor, and is connected to the balljoint in the lower control arm and the outer tie rod end.
You might've ruined the strut, too.

hey,
It sounds like you're looking for a new car to put your tranny into (or even more of your car, the tranny just comes to mind since it probably cost more than any of the cars you listed)
I'm a little biased but I would go with one of the first two. You don't want the V6 car and you don't want the one with the fubar 1/4. (this is all imo)
The RS sounds like the best deal to me because you can just slip all your stuff into it. Plus it's the most desireable (most popular anyway) bodystyle of thirdgen right now and probably always. If you get the '83 Z you'll have to change over the pedal setup (you'd have to in the RS too) because it's the mechanical linkage.
If you get that '83, email me and I'll buy some of the parts you take off of it!

naa, i am gonna total out my car....it si all f'ed up, took a close look at it. I plan on buying something like an RS that is around here, it is a 305 5 speed with 110 miles and run around with that untill i get to money to pull the TPI motor out of my IROC, the 9 bolt rear, and all the other goodies. So it will be a while without the Camaro, this is kind of a mixed blessing...

My car is for sale if you are interested E-mail me.The interior is in good , there is a new headliner in it, and I tried to replace any of the piece that where cracked, I added a over head console from a iroc and a 145 mph speedo, I have changed every sensor and relay in the car, just I would not run in to any problems, The car is ready to be driven daily with no problems, everything is new all of the suspension is new everything. The rear has about 30,000miles on it the tranny has about 10,000 miles on it and the motor has less then 3,000 miles on it.

Hey Camaro6spd, sucks about your crash. It's a beautiful car...
I don't suppose you wanna get rid of your rims? (providing none got messed in the crash) I'm looking for a set of 16 X 8's but I don't wanna pay out the a$$ for new ones... gimme an e-mail with a price if you're interested in selling.

sorry, i already promessed then to a friend for a little bit of $$. I would LOVE to buy your IROC but I need to get cash and hold off, the car was not a primary car so it is allright for now. Later on down the road I will be selling the 145 dash cluster with the oh so rare 5500 redline, the black interior with NightRider seats(unless I want that in my 91-92 camaro(if so then I will still sell the NightRiders), the T-Tops(both sets if it is a hardtop), now if the 91-92 is TPI then I will sell my 87 TPI setup, if not I will put the 87 setup in the 91-92(kind of hard to find a 5 speed TPI). And anyother parts, so if you want stuff like this just set me an e-mail but I will not start to part it out untill I get another car(not for a while
)
just post you e-mails and I will tell you guys whats goes when the time comes..
oh also the 2" lowering springs will be sold also. I am keeping the poly bushings and the huge aftermarket sways
