Signs of a bad spherical rod end

Signs of a bad spherical rod end

What are the indications/signs that a spherical rod end has gone or is going bad? I've had my Spohn torque arm for a while now and remember reading that they will go bad eventually and have to be replaced. Since I'm having problems finding a vibration at 60mph and have eliminated the driveshaft and almost everything else,I'd like to know what to look/listen for so I can change it if necessary. Can anyone help?

Shake them around, if they're sloppy or rattle they're bad.
