What to do if I add a 400 Pontiac engine?
I have the ability to get a 400 Pontiac engine for my car. If I was to get this engine, what would need to be done to my suspension to allow for this added power? I have almost no money for this, So, any cheap mods that will work in some ways would be cool.
But, anything that will help a stock Firebird that is the base model with a 305. Any help at all would be greatly appriciated.

nothing to the suspention, they both weight about the same amount, only things you will need are a trans adapter plate to allow the pontiac engine to fit the chevy trans and a 3rd gen adapter kit from jim butler performance, or if you want to go ultra poor man is just get some pontiac frame mounts and test fit the engine in, and where the mounts fit best drill the holes in the chassis and mount it there, i have near new (i used it once for 2 weeks) TCI trans adapter plate (best one you can get) and some pontiac frame mounts forsale if you want them, 70$ for everything INcluding shipping if interested email me (or anyone else that wants it) at tempest68@hotmail.com
