Problem with new IROC wheels

Hey everyone. I bought a set of chrome 17" IROC wheels from a friend. Took them on a test drive and the front of the car starter shaking VERY violently at around 35-40 MPH. It did so bad I had to stop all the way to get it to stop. Turned back around to the house and made sure all the lugnuts are tightened to spec. Everything was alright.

Took it out again... it didnt do it this time. Later down the road it did it again but this time I sped up past 40 and it went away around 60 MPH !

The last three days hasnt done it at all, but today it does it almost ALL the time. Monday is when I'll be able to go to a tire shop and have them check it out.

My friend says the tires might have a flat spot ? The car NEVER did this with the stock 16 inch wheels so I really doubt it's a bad suspension component. Right now they wear 235/40/17 Falken tires, but I have some brand new Good Years going on Monday. Any opinions ?

it most likey is 3 things, one there was a flat spot on one of the tires, 2. there were REALLY out of balence or 3. one of the rims is bent, it happens often with the 17" and bigger rims, one good whack from a curb or pothole can do some wicked damage
