Is this a good price? Any early ball-park estimate on how much the Spohn "complete package" will cost?

A few years back I did the swap with GM parts except for the caliper brackets (brackets in which the cradle mounts) from guldstrand for $99. Kar Parts had nice rebuilt calipers for $140. Rotors were about $90 a piece, or $180 for the pair at pep boys. PFC pads $75. I believe the overall project cost $700+ more closer to $800, maybe over.

There are also "small parts" that are critical, like bolts, clips, gaskets, hoses, retainers and pins also.

Ok! As long as the Spohn kit will be in the same price range (cheaper would be nice, too!) I will wait.

The price is about average, since you still need the spindles, hoses and misc hardware.

The calipers from "vette brakes" will not work.

Decent "non-made in China" rotors are usually in the $90.00-$100.00 ea. range.

You will also need new seals, outer bearings, brake hoses, and the special bolts that attach the cliper carrier to the adapter bracket.

Decent brake pads are also usually in the $100.00 per set range.
some brake pad installation clips, pins, and springs (hardware kit) will also be required.

As I have learned, all of these little things add up.

Also, there are 2 sets of 1LE brakes on eBay right now, they were still reasonably priced when I looked at them yesterday... brackets and all.

FWIW, I bought the Autozone 1LE front calipers for @ $135, returned my "cores" and got $55 back, so it was $80 for the PAIR!! One looks NEW and the other is defintiely rebuilt.

If you need calipers cheap, go there.

If you need rotors, I got mine from and eBay seller whose I.D. is mikebo. Highly recommended, he has a lot of parts. I scored mine for $61 for the PAIR!! Look him up. By the way, these were Wagner/Bendix rotors so you can trust the name.
