Honestly? This goes for ALL the manufacturers of SFCs.

Why can I buy a Competition Engineering 8-pt roll bar cheaper than SFCs?
Why does 2 sticks of steel tubing (round or square), cost more than the multiple tubes & multiple bends, plus mounting plates, of a 8-pt roll bar/cage?

I'll tell you why....Because SFCs are a basic mod that virtually every 3rd gen should have, regardless of it is just a simply daily driver car, or a full on, 6-second care car. With that said....The manufacturers know that it is one of the highest selling items that virtually everybody wants, and therefore is their highest selling item!

Even if a manufacturer gave us 50% off, I bet they would still be making 100% profit!

 

I'm betting it's more like, they sell about a million universal roll cages a year, and have them made out-of-house in a high-volume production shop where they have a giant CNC bender where they put a stack of tubing in a hopper, push a button, and 30 seconds later, roll cages come flying out one every 5 seconds; but the SFCs sell in such low volume since they only fit THESE CARS EXCLUSIVELY and cost money which the owners of them aren't willing to pay, so both of the sets they make per year have to be fabbed up by hand and probably have 3 hours total of labor in them.
