Quick question on installation of new coils
Was sitting in my suspension class today and got to thinking about when I changed my coils with a couple other people a while back. Put in eibachs, but when we took the old ones out we saw that there were black rubber pieces at the top of each coil. The guy who's shop it was insisted that I did not need them for the new coils. (the eibachs did have a different, flat top.)
Is this okay?

Re: Quick question on installation of new coils
He is correct about the extra drop, but we are talking about 1/4"-1/2" or so, extra drop. And they are not REQUIRED to be put on. When I put my Ground Control Weight Jacks on, I didn't put any of the rubber insulators back in & have no excessive banging/clunking or anything extra.
Put them in or not. Purely optional.

Re: Quick question on installation of new coils
They are insulators so you may experience more road noise without them.
