Trans Am

ok so theres an 84 trans am in the loacl pick and pull, i was wondering if the gearbox would be the same as the IROCs had? anyone got a part number too look for or did all Firebirds have the longer lock to lock boxes? thanks

Early Trans Am, probably not. Later Trans Am/GTAs had the shorter lock to lock box

kk, does anyone know the part number of the shorter lock box so i can see if its in the car

im sorry i looked up 84 ta gearbox before i started this thread as well as looked at the stickies in this section and any that had to do with gearboxes seemed to be about swaping to manual gear boxes. thanks for the link
