New front end rebuild
New front end rebuild
I post here and there on here, but here's my first in this section.... Here's my newer front end K-member. I went through my whole front end and found things here and there wrong, but for the most part, it was intact pretty good. The car only had 89,000 miles on it and it is going to be a Knight Rider replica car. I have a poly bushing kit for it, but I'm actually back and forth on these. I've have rode in both poly and stock, and I actually like both for certain purposes. Poly of course for more racing yet the stock feels great for both ride and somewhat performance. It is a ws6 chasis and it felt great before parking. It hugged curves great. Anyway. I also just got through putting new camber plates in, new brake lines, new struts, some new tie rods and some bushing that were worn. Anyway. Here's some pics. enjoy, I know a bunch of you go all out , but as it is now, I have no plans on doing tubular or anything. I can always do this later, but I have not driven this car in 5 years... WO!! So , you can understand my pain. Also , this is more for shows, no goes....sorry....but here's a look...

Thanks for looking guys

Re: New front end rebuild
this looks amazing!!! question... I am removing my steering, seems like everything is held together with rivets. Should I cut/drill them off. can I replace them with bolts? What size? If not, what kind of rivets are they??
