Axle/Gears: 2.73
1992 firebird Convertible

There is a bar looking thing in the rear of the car by the rear axle that runs from the driver side to the passenger side by the rear wheels. What could this be?? It looks like the bushings are wore out but I don't know what the part is to replace it. Also while driving on rough roads you can hear it pop.
